...and you'll get this newest story.
It turns out that gay Congressman Barney Frank once had an incident with a male prostitute about 20 years ago. He refused to resign saying it wasn't a serious offense. He was given a slap on the wrist by the House Ethics Committee. Only one member of the committee voted for censure....Larry Craig.

While Democrats around the country get to have a laugh at the expense of the Republicans once again, the media asks whether Senator Larry Craig's scandal will have a negative impact on Mitt Romney. I haven't heard anyone say it definitely will, but the better question is, why would it? First of all, I doubt that Mitt Romney hand picked Craig, and even if he did, what does that really say about Mitt Romney? He can't pick out a potentially closeted gay person? As much as Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani deserve criticism for other things, having people like David Vitter and Larry Craig with hidden scandals in their campaign is not one of them. When one of them starts picking unqualified individuals to be in their Cabinet, then their judgment of individuals can be attacked.
Of course, Mitt Romney took it too far and tried to tie the scandal to Bill Clinton. Even in the face of a scandal in his campaign, Romney doesn't take a moment off from Panderthon '07.
The real scandal is that, once again, a vocal social conservative that has tried to legislate morality pled guilty to the kind of behavior worse than the behavior he wished to ban. How many of these guys have to be caught in incredible hypocrisy before people stop trusting these people? Practice what you preach, not what you preach against. Thankfully, the "Youtube" era provides countless audio and video clips of these idiots directly contradicting their own behavior.
